Current state - “Enterprise”

• J2EE 1.4 (Server)

  • Multi-tier stack: web services/enterprise computing
  • Multiple “free” implementations: JBoss.org, Jonas, Geronimo
  • Needs some work to combine it all
  • Conformance: Lots of politics (Jonas now starts to work out of the box with gcj and is certified)
